The Distinct project does not capture and store any personal information about individuals who access this website, except where you voluntarily choose to give us your personal details via an online form, email or by telephone.
In these latter cases, the personal information you give us is used exclusively by the Distinct project for providing you with current and future information about resources and updates as described in this website.
We will treat the personal information that you have supplied to us in accordance with the current legislation, and will not pass it to any outside organisations or individuals unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Analytics
The Distinct project only monitors the IP addresses of visitors to assess which pages are the most popular. These IP addresses are not linked to any personal data so that visitors to our website remain anonymous.
Use of cookies
We may also store information about you using cookies (files which are sent by us to your computer or other access device) which we can access when you visit our site in future. This information is used to process log in / session information only and isn't used in any other way.

Email bulletin
The Distinct e-bulletin is distributed using a tool called MailChimp - part of a US based company. Data stored on our behalf by MailChimp, which is held in the US, complies with the EU Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the Department of Commerce, which ensures the practices of US companies comply with UK/EU data protection practices.
