22 March 2012, CIM HE MIG Annual Conference

Location: Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel, Manchester

Distinct hosted the plenary session at this conference looking at: the need and viability of creating distinctive identities for HEIs. Copies of the latest resource toolkits from the Distinct Project were also distributed.

9 February 2012, AUA Planning Forum

Location: Leeds Marriott Hotel

The Distinct team ran a session on: How organisational distinctiveness can work for HEIs, with VC / DVC speakers presenting their perspective on the subject.

7-9 December 2011, SRHE Annual Research Conference 2011

Anne Gwinnett presented the following session: Distinctiveness as a route to sustainability for Higher Education Institutions.

2-3 November 2011 - LFHE Staff Development Conference

A one-day training event. The Distinct team led a session on: Distinctiveness and leadership. A selection of the keynote presentations and workshops (usually but not necessarily in the form of Powerpoint slides) can be found on the Leadership Foundation website.

29 August - 2 September, 2011 - CASE Europe Annual Conference

The Distinct project ran a session on: Developing and Communicating Distinctiveness which looked at how to present a distinctive institutional offer.

18 - 20 April, 2011 - AUA conference

The Distinct project joined other LGM-funded projects on 19 April, to showcase their work to over 600 professional service delegates from the higher education sector.

January 2011 - HEFCE/LFHE Conference

March 2010 - HEFCE/LFHE Inaugural Event

Janet Beer and Jeff Lucas attended, and shared information about the project.

January 2010 - HEFCE/LFHE Conference

The Distinct project was launched in a presentation by Anne Gwinnett to attendees at HEFCE's LTC Conference.
